Task
We had the absolute honor of collaborating with our friends at Bright Black to create the opening title sequence for the Kinoca Minolta Planetariums in Tokyo, Japan. This beautiful celebration of life was to be projected on the 180-degree planetarium dome before the start of each showing.
Our Approach
We wanted to produce a world that bridged sky and sea and ultimately landed in the micro-macro mystery of nature. Planetariums are a place to learn, reflect and dream and this project definitely felt like a reflection of that. We hand-crafted all of the abstract worlds and characters in CG from start to finish. This one ended up being a project where the journey was just as amazing as the final destination.
