Task
We were asked by Miniac Films to collaborate on this very cool project for Adidas Prime Blue. Using 3D animation and design we constructed the shots to show the process of converting ocean waste into usable products. Here our intention was to show each step of the process from the wash, grind, melt, and thread, to the final product. It was an awesome concept and an honor to make art with good people for a good cause.
Our Approach
To tell the story in this way most of these granular concepts could not be shot in-camera. Through a series of CG builds, particle simulations, liquid simulations and other dynamics we were able to get inside the process of what it takes to recycle waste into beautiful products.
