Task
We were honored to collaborate with Andrew Thomas Huang and help conceptualize a projection mapping project for the Sydney Opera House. The assignment was to incorporate Australia’s unique culture and assist in creating a show that would captivate an audience for 10-15 minutes.
Our Approach
In collaboration with Director Andrew Thomas Huang and Collider Studios Lunar Division we created the 2019 lighting of the Sydney Opera House sails for the Vivid festival in Sydney Australia. The Austral Flora Ballet is a hypnotic fusion of contemporary dance and motion capture technology that brings the Australian botanic wonders to life as never seen before. Showcasing floral gems as the New South Wales Waratah, Kangaroo Paws, Hakeas, Eucalyptus flowers, and Red Beard Orchids, all which have enormous connection for First Nations peoples to their country, story, and dance.
